Ace Angler
Ace angler is a year long tournament. Entry into the tournament is included with your annual membership.
15 Species are on the board for this years contest, 10 inshore and 5 offshore. The angler with the heaviest fish in each category receives a $500 payout!
General Rules
Only paid members are eligible to fish. You are not able to weigh fish caught prior to the issuance of your member ID number.
All fish must be caught by rod and reel by the angler, unassisted. Anglers can land the fish in any NJ waterway, from land, shore, jetty or a boat leaving from and returning to a NJ port.
Eligible catches must be photographed as soon possible, ideally on the water but no later than 24 hours from the catch. Fish must be brought to an official NJ Fishing Club weigh station within 48 hours of the catch.
A weigh slip must be filled out completely and photographed, the weigh shop will keep the original weigh slip.
To submit your catch, you will need to submit the following items via email within 48 hours:
a photograph of yourself with the fish
an unobstructed photograph of the fish on the scale
a photograph of the weigh slip.
**Items (1) and (2) can be combined in a single photo.
